Looking at the pictures the rifle looks to be an AR10 (308 Win) sized rifle do it could be 308 Win, 338 Fed, 358 Win.

Hey Default,

Went to my favorite VT PRESERVE.  i promised my nephew that when he turned 15 I'd take him for a hog.  He did in 06 so off we went.  I decided to shoot bison because I hadn't shot one before and it would be a thrilll for him.  The place is 5K acres and has a herd of more than 70 since the 60s.  I also liked the fact the the butcher is local and I could load up the pick-up and in 3 hours be home, no planes, frieght, etc.  Had that fiasco with a NewFi moose.....another story.....

Oh BTW...used a 375HH because I had it and was planning an Alaska Griz and moose hunt which fell through.

Mick ,

You'd be right DPMS AP4 LR 308 .. I used the nasty Hornady interbonds , Since they open fast and hold onto 90 % of their weight I went with them .. Both shots were clean pass throughs.. I choose the DPMS over my 06 and 300 mag due to my younger brother wanting to use his compound bow to take his buffalo .. So to ease his mind i took enough gun to put down alot of angry animals fast if needed ..

Yeah Doug I totally understand the whole hassle of not having a prosseser close by .. Got lucky with mine , Had it ready for the trip home the next day (had two animals to butcher)
Heres my brother with his ;)
