Sighting In w/slugs
« on: January 08, 2009, 02:41:35 PM »
I'm sighting in my boys youth 20 ga. slug gun while it is extremely accurate I'm curious as to how high you sight in.

I'm shooting 3" high @ 30yds. and I haven't shot a 20 slug in a long long time.
The lightfield's and the winchester bri sabots are dead on with each other.
I'm hopefully gonna be able to get set up for farther test this weekend.

One more ?, how often do you all clean while testing and shooting, anything like breaking in a rifle barrel..

Thanks
Steamin

Steamin,

Here's a link to the lightfieldslugs website that explains how to get the most out of your slug gun/ammo.  http://www.lightfieldslugs.com/lightfield/shooting_guide.cfm?id=2&cfid=14636634&cftoken=94962926

On the left side of the page you will find the different sections of slugshooting that I think you may find really helpful.

I know I did.

Jim

We sight our 20 ga. Tracker II's in at 1-2 inches above center at 100 yds. We use 3" Winchester Partition Gold Sabots, these were the most consistent of all the slugs we tried.
