Try 100 grain of Pyrodex , 300 grain XTP with black sabots and Rem. klean bore primers . Deadly in the traditions i had and my 3 friends guns . They are very nice guns and very accurate . I hunt Elk and deer and stick with one bullet grain for both . But i us the XTP for deer and the XTP mags for Elk . I also buy bullets and sabots in bulk . But you can get some at the link below to try . I use the same bullet in my encore now . Tried 4-5 other bullets as did my friend and we all went back to the XTP bullets .
