204
« on: January 09, 2009, 08:31:55 AM »
I have been trying to find a handi this week only thing within 60 miles of home is a 30-06,270,223 and a 204 ruger.I have bolt guns in 30-06,270 and 223 so I don't want another the 204 I'm not sure abouit it.Its so small a bullet I can't see much use in it.A friend has one in a Encore rifle and pistol and loves it. I had really rather have a 22 hornet and 45-70 to start with in the handi.I am just starting out with the handi but these two barrels are what I wanted first.Anyone have a 204 barrel? You like it?

thanks.

I have one, but have not fired a shot in it yet.  Put my house up for sale and put all my stuff in storage.  House market fell and stuff is still in storage.  I read up on them and am looking forward to getting it ready for some long range gopher dissection.

I got one.  Mine is an ultra.  I like it.  Shoots great.  Ammo isn't too bad either.  I get remington accu-v for $15.  That's what seems to shoot best in mine.  Light recoil, cross hairs barely move off target.

I have one and it's not for sale!
That's how good it shoots with Horady 32gr vmax.
My hunting buddy has the same rifle and will not part with his either.
Mine will do 5 under a dime at 100 on a calm day if I do my part.
They are wicked on varmints!
Out to 300 yds or a little better I can hold dead on a groundhog with a 1" high sight in.

I am sure you will get a lot of replies on this one.
Buy the 204 and go have some fun.
I almost forgot the best part.
It's fun to see your hit in the scope!
There is no recoil!!!

I like my 204 well enough that I bought another. I will probably sell my 223 barrels. If you reload, the Hornet is not the easiest to reload.
