Forend for older octagon 10 inch Contender barrel
« on: January 10, 2009, 01:41:48 PM »
I'm new to this site, and addicted to the G2 I bought last year. I just picked up a neat early octagon 10 inch 30-30 barrel. Does anyone know where I can get the proper forend for it? Thanks ahead of time for adding to my obsession!

1. Post a "want to buy" classified on the Contender Classified forum up the page a little.
2. Call Eds TC (sponsor for this forum)
3. Check out flea bay.  They used to have a few on at any given time.

We don't do classified type posts on discussion forums here on GBO.

Welcome to GBO and to Contenders.  I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Thanks Keith
I followed your advice and ordered one at Ed's. Sorry about posting in the wrong forum. And thanks for the welcome!

Glad you found one.  I think you will like working with Ed.  Many of us do.

Many moons ago before GBO and the internet that makes it so easy to get info and find stuff, I took a forend for a bull barrel and glass bedded it to the octagon.  Works great and even fits Hornet barrel which it was bedded to, and .218 Bee barrel without any modifications.
