38 S&W wheel gun = need info

Picked up a nice little S&W wheel gun the other day , 3" barrel stamped 38 S&W CTG , it has a Ser # of 393xxx . it sort of looks like the old M&P frame but with a square butt .

Anyone have any info on this thing ?

Stimpy you might try posting it on the Smith&Wesson forum, they were helpful with my Model 66-2, even identified the year of manufacture for me from part of the serial no. ;)
