6th picture in the ad clearly shows a push-in breechplug.
That #11 nipple can be replaced with a Hubbard's 209 holder or T/C musket cap nipple:

My buddy had one he shot patched round ball out of... with those sights seems like this one's set up for the same use.
Results weren't bad, about the same as you'd expect shooting slugs out of a smoothbore centerfire w/rifle sights.

I have a Sidekick with a Williams receiver sight and it shoots clover leaf groups at 50 yards, which is further than I can see on my stand.

I cast a 300 grain bullet 45 caliber bullet for the 45 Colt from Lee Precision mould and load it in an MMP 3 petal sabot over 100 grains of Triple Seven using Triple Seven primers and it does shoot very cleanly. Regular shotgun primers leave a big mess. This load is about 1750 fps. The Federal 45-70 300 grain load list velocity at 1800, so we are in 45-70 territory. It has " noticeable" recoil.

The breech plug screws out using a big screw driver provided with the rifle.

There's a lot of good muzzleloader info at www.randywakeman.com. Check for the MMP 3 petal sabot under "inline muzzleloading. It loads much easier than the common 4 petal.

This is a 50 cal rifle with a 28" twist for conical projectiles, but does okay with patched balls.

Oops. This is a sidekick. That Huntsman H&R has a different breech plug than the Sidekick.

I just checked the H&R site and they no longer offer the Huntsman or Sidekick as a separate rifle, but if you have a Handi Rifle you can still get the barrels from their additional barrel program.

The Sidekick used shotgun receiver and the Huntsman used a rifle receiver. The Sidekick could be bought without filling out a 4473, while the Huntsman required one.

The sidekick when it was made has its own receiver and barrel, it is a stand alone gun.  The sidekick receiver will not accept a shotgun or rifle barrel.  Where as you can get a Huntsman barrel for a shotgun receiver, but not sure about the rife receiver.  As for the start of this post that is a very interesting firearm.  I wonder how many were made and sold?

Huntsman accessory barrels can be fitted to either an SB1 shotgun frame, or an SB2 rifle frame. Hopefully the Huntsman or Sidekick rifle will be back with us in an improved version later this year.
