Where to buy new G2 Frame w/trigger job?
« on: January 12, 2009, 07:44:18 AM »
I would like to order a frame directly from someone who sells them with a well-adjusted trigger.  I know that Bullberry and SSK used to sell them with trigger jobs done, but I do not see them listed on either website anymore and have not been able to speak to them.

Anyone know someone who sells them with the job done and can give me a nice trigger between 1-2 pounds.  Before you say that is too light my old style Contenders are all set at 12 ounces, and I like my friends 6 ounce triggered frame the best!
Be honest with yourself.  Can you guarantee you would hit a paper plate at 250 yards...100 yards...50 yards?  Then you have no business replacing the plate with a live animal.

I know Ed of Ed's TCs a GBO Sponsor sells them and will do a first rate trigger job for you on them as he did it for me back when I bought one from him. I'm quite sure SSK still does as well. I can't say it for sure but am reasonably sure that MGM also a GBO Sponsor will. One other possibility who is a GBO Spornsor is Ron Reed but I'm even less sure if Ron does but he sells barrels and firearms so might sell frames and do trigger jobs. You'd have to ask as I'm unsure on it however.

Thanks I wasn't aware of this I won't mention his name again.I had a very knowledgeable gs who was somewhat abrasive with people who showed up with a weapon in pieces from some other gun wrecker wanting him to put it together,he'd tell them to take it back to the guy who took it apart and don't bring it back to his shop ever again. When I met him  he told me he didn't work on remington shotguns until I told him I was a gun club member, what was needed & I wanted him to do the work! We became good friends and I was able thru my LE job connections to find rifles and shotguns he needed for his customers ie Win Mod 12 duck,LC Smith 20g double,JC Higgins Mod 50 & 51's(receiver made in Liege Belgium) 30-06 cal rifles, etc.also referred my fellow officers to him for gun work.
