351 power,

I've used a post for years on my Ruger 44 Carbine. It is a Lyman All American in 2 1/2x. Since then I have purchased several other used Lyman All American's in 2 1/2x & 3x ( PermaCenter ) scopes. They are great for deer hunting in heavy cover & low light.
Also have an older Leupold 7 1/2x with a post on a Rem. 600 in 222. This is a great night hunting scope for fox & coyote with a little snow and a little moonlight.

as long as the post has a squared off top. If it comes to a point they are a pain in the low light situation.
