Quick Release Scope Mounts for 527 Carbine?
« on: January 15, 2009, 05:13:08 AM »
Well, the subject line says it all...I'm looking for quick-release for mounts for my new 527 Carbine.  I use some on my Savage 17HMR and really like them.  They are the Leupold QWR.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I use these on my .223 527 carbine and like them, WARNE SCOPE MOUNTS CZ 527 16MM 1" QUICK DETACH HIGH SCOPE RINGS MATTE FINISH.  The bolt handle clears with about 1/4" clearance. Rings are a matter of preference.  ;D  I really like this setup.

Thank you very much for the info.  These rings look like EXACTLY what I'm looking for.

They (Warne) produce the "High" size (which your link brings me to) and there is also a "Medium" size.  Would you mind telling me what scope you have, and if you think the medium would be too low for one of the more "compact" scopes...(specifically a Nikon Prostaff Shotgun Hunter Scope 2-7 x 32)? http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=513157

Thanks again, you're helping to make this much less painful for me.

Rob.

Hello, I went with a Burris Timberline (compact) 2x7 x26mm  I like to use the open or iron sights at times with the help of the Warne quick release mounts and this scope is plenty short as not to interfere with the rear sight when mounted.
