Marlin Camp Nine value?

   I am not sure if this is the right place if not please delete.  I have a camp nine with a cracked stock and was wondering what its worth on a trade or outright. Thank you  Dean

I ran across one last year for $300 in good condition. On Gunbroker.com they seem to be going for $350. With a cracked stock I definitely wouldn't expect to get that much. You could buy either a folding stock or a bullpup kit then get a high capacity mag for it (I was told it uses the same clip as a Smith & Wesson 59 series pistol) put a red dot or holographic sight on it, then promptly sell it to mall ninja with too much money burning in his pocket.

I would suggest posting it here for sale at around 300 bucks and see if there is any intrest. Then lower the price! you can always lower the price until it sells or you reach you limit.. Nothing to loose. I wouldn;t mind one but am doing an AR build that is getting exspensive!

 Not to get off topic, your stock is likely cracked because of a shattered recoil buffer.  If you are patient these parts can be had from midwayusa (to include a factory replacement stock) at a very affordable price.  I had to do the same with my camp 9.  Also a derlin buffer can be found at wisnersinc.  These buffers should  hold up for a longer period of time.  Make sure to check your bolt recoil spring, if this is weak it will cause the bolt to recoil excessively and shatter the buffer.  I learned this to with my camp 9 .   As for price I got mine for 350.00 some time back.   Hope this helps
