240g Hornady XTP on top of a max load of H-110 is what I have been running in all my 44's for over 10 years.  Going to try the same bullet over LilGun this summer.  DP

Rem. 240grn JSP over Win 296 but not maxxed. I use mag primers.     Pretty much the same powder as H-110 but it works good in mine.
Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.

same as dpe.ahoy except mine is a grain or so above published max load. This is for a Ruger Carbine it handles the load  with no problems.

CCI mag primer
Speer 240g JFP/240g Hornady XTP, 24.0g H110
300g Speer JSP, 20.0g H110

All are max loads of  H110.

I use those loads in my Super Redhawk as well as my Browning B92.  The 300g load recoils less.

I'm more inclined to use hard cast in my Marlin 44 mag (20" barrel) and I have good accuracy with the following:
Magtec  240 JSP                        23gr H110     1700fps   (1.5" @100yds w/ Williams receiver sight)
Lazercast 240 LFPRN                   23gr H110     1740fps
Cast performance 300 LWFNGC     20gr H110     1500fps
XTP 240 JHP                              24gr H110     1800fps
Oregon Trail 240 LSWC                24gr H110     1800fps
Rem brass
CCI LPM
Lee FCD
As always, these loads are safe in my gun. Use at your own risk in your gun. These loads are at or below published max from Hodgdon. Hodgdon does not recommend reduced (<3%) loads when using H110
These loads were also very good in my Super Blackhawk. Hope this helps - Don

Sad to say I sold my .44 Marlin. Dummy!

It was a fun rifle in which I fired the same rounds I use in my Redhawk.

310gr cast LBT bullets,  cast from WW and complete with Gas Check.

This bullet was fired ahead of 19grs of AA #9.

The only issue with the load was the length of the bullet.

If you worked the action rapidly, the nose of the bullet would hang up on some of the internal parts of the rifle.

If, on the other hand, you worked the action nice an easy as I normaly did, NO problem!

As I said one of the fun ones I wish I still had!

Keep em coming!

We shoot either XTP or Nosler 200Gr over H110. Don't remember the grains off the top of my head. Shoot the same exact load out of 3 rifles and 5 handguns. I'm sure it could be tweeked a little for the rifles, but it's easier tojust have a couple of boxes of all the same stuff around. This is for Pa Whitetails, most shots inside 75 yards, but has taken deer at 150+ out of a revolver, and 187 measured with Laser Range Finder out of a Marlin "Guide Gun" .44
