Wow! This thread's as unanimous as Dee's about the nasty dogs and the one about the gout!

I don't think I'll be watching. I disagree with Obama on all the issues and I am sad that there wasn't a better candidate to win the election. I like Gene Autry re-runs anyway. No stress with Gene Autry.

I'd pretty much forgotten about it until this thread popped up. I'll not be wasting my time watching it. Rather have my teeth pulled again and with no Novocaine than watch.

I tend to agree with Matt that he may be our last prez (thanks GB for that idea), though for a different reason. I'm thinkin' this crew will do their best to either cause a major problem and declare Martial Law, in which case he'll be more a dictator. Or they will pass enough stupid bills that we will effectively be a Socialist State.

I also hope no one takes him out and especially not with a gun and not a white person. That would really end this country, probably.

Yup that would be about as bad as it could get. That's why I suggest only the nuke option. If they make it illegal for us to have nukes as a result it sure won't affect any of us as we ain't got them anyway. There is kind of a small club of folks with those but then that would make it easier for them to figure out who did it. Then the decision would be what to do about it.

I heard McCain very recently on FOX. He was asked his opinion on Obama's cabinet. His answer was(paraphased) They are all good people, they are centrist in politics. HUH !!?

When asked what the Repubs need to do to get back in the game He said that 5he lack of Latino votes cost him several States and we need to elect more Latinos into Govt.

There it is, a RINO for sure. He would not cut it as A Repub for me and even less as a conservative.

Well I'll be the odd ball in this discussion. I want to watch. I want to see how he addresses the nation on his first day as the prez. In my opinion it will be interesting if nothing more than for counting the lies he tells.

Evidently I don't understand this. I don't think anyone here is suggesting any violence to anyone, including the new prez. I believe that we are just speculating what could happen. Anyone who doesn't think any of the previously mentioned events couldn't happen is pretty naive. Just MO.

Naww. Since my wife will be coming home the next day, ending 4 months of quiet batchelor life, I'll probably be doing some of my least favorite things like scrub the toilets, clean the shower stall and run the vaccuum. If the coronation is still on when I finish cleaning the house, I'll probably do something useful like work on the stock of my newest custom rifle, cast bullets or reload.

That's not a bad idea. I think we should all fly our flags upside down tomorrow to show our distress over the incoming president and his administration.
