Scope question
« on: January 17, 2009, 12:55:01 PM »
I started mounting a Bushnell Banner series 3-9X40 scope on my Handi .223 today. I took the scope and held it against a  mirror and I can not get the two images to come together. I know I did this with my shotgun scope and it worked great. Should I just stop now and call Bushnell?  Thanks JamesIII

Can you see the X-hair moving? Do they just stop before they align? If so, change the power ring so it's not all the way to the stop, then try.

Thanks Tim, some times the answer is staring us right in the face! I was doing this on a "cheap" 3 section bathroom mirror. I played with the power ring and put it back up on the mirror and I saw the mirror flex a little. I then tried all 3 mirrors and got 3 different results. I hunted up a small solid glass mirrror and was able to dial it right in.

Sorry about posting this in the wrong place, I don't get this far down on the GBO sight very often, especially since general classifieds were moved up. JamesIII
