Good Morning Jon, dpe, Torpedoman, Forster, good morning lurkers,

Well global warming continues here in Cut Bank.  It's only 35 right now, but it is suppose to be 50 to 60 today.

Joh, how far are you from Kalispell?  I am hoping to make it over there Tuesday for a 2PM with the Doc. I have to go to Brass and Bullets, Woodlawn park and Montana Rifles Barrel.

Morning guys.  Nice forum you all have here.  Not sure why it took me so long to find it.

Currently a pleasant 18 degrees in Dillon.

Great pictures you put up on the board Forster, glad to have you join our morning get together group. You'll have to keep us up to date on hunting down in you area.

Got a question for you. Driving south of Dillion, some where before Lima there a some fields full of small critters running around.  Do you know  if they are Ground Squirrels or Prairie Dogs?  Do the landowners alllow hunting?

They are probably gophers.  I go deer/antelope hunting down there quite often but the critters aren't running around that time of year.  But I do know a number of land owners in the area, so I'll have to find out.  I'll post some hunting pics of the area in the picture thread.  The pictures are by Dell about 7 miles before Lima. I'm looking for some more places to try out my new "toy" this spring so I might have to do some more investigating about these furry little critters in the area.

It's a Savage VLP in 22-250 with 1/12 twist, topped with a Sightron SII Big Sky 6-24, 42mm with a mil-dot.  Just got the scope on Friday.

That's a nice looking rig.  Otta reach right out and "touch" what ever you're looking at.  Got pretty nice here today, saw 64 and 65 on different bank thermometers on the way back from the gun show.  They put one on in honor of our newly elected Prez.  I couldn't get there until noon today and it closed at 3.  Walked by a table and saw 4 scopes with 20mm objectives and stopped to look.  I like those on my levers and the shorter range Handi rifles I have.  They were 2 Weaver K2.5s, an old one made in USA and a new one made in Japan, a B&L 2.5 made in Japan and an old Redfield Beaver Cub 2 3/4 power.  The guy said he wanted $15 for the new  Weaver and $10 each for the other 3.  Offered $40 for all 4 and he took it.  I'm a happy camper for sure!  DP
