Topper Slug barrel?
« on: January 18, 2009, 09:53:37 AM »
I just wanted to double check something. I have an older Topper (serial number a######) and was thinkng about getting a  rifled slug barrel for it. I noticed on the H&R website that they don't do this for any other serial numbers other than N or H. Why is this? JUst curious and wondering if it would be worth a call to them. Thanks for the info.

Because your Topper was made by a different Manufacturer that went out of business in 1986, that's why the 1987 or later requirement.

However, if you can find a slug barrel it might fit anyway (many do on my older frames, or it can be fitted with help from the FAQ's and/or from the members here. If it does not fit, you can always just sell it again in the classifieds. IIRC there was one for sale in the classifieds within the past week....<><....:)
