1100 barrel modification
« on: January 18, 2009, 03:23:00 PM »
I have a 1100 vent rib fixed modified choke and would like to have a screw-in choke installed. I looked up the reamer and tap for Rem-chokes and the OD is .814". My barrel is .875 OD .705 ID with a wall thickness of .087" which gives it plenty of material to install a Rem-choke. Does anybody know a good reliable gunsmith around KY area or surrounding states that I can get to do this? If I still had access to a lathe, I would rent them and do it myself, but unfortunately I don't work in a machine shop anymore. Thanks guys. ;)
