H & K Stainless Compac, Have they quit making the Stainl
« on: August 24, 2003, 01:15:05 PM »
I was at the local "Trading Post" and taking with the owner about a H & K Compac in .40 S&W, with a stainless steel slide.  It's been sitting there for a year and he wants to move it.

He told me that H & K are no longer producing the .40 Compac's with a Stainless (?) slide.  That they are all blued now.  I went to their website and couldn't find anything on this.  Does anyone here know if that is true?

Thanks

I remember hearing the same thing, around the same time, and you are right, they are still listing them in their wholesale catalog.  I was just wondering it these are "left overs" from the last run, or are they still being made.

If they are still making them, there are other things more pressing, other wise I'd like to get one in stainless.  I currently have a .45 h&k compac, but the grip doesn't fit me as well as the .40
