Best and Worst of 2008
« on: January 19, 2009, 12:37:33 PM »
Now that we are deep into the first month of 2009, lets reflect on our best and worst Oklahoma hunting experiences of 2008.

I will start.

Best - Shooting two turkeys in the same day.
Worst - Getting sick while deer hunting.  Was only out there about 30 minutes and the flu bug hit me.  I barely made it home and slept for the entire next day.

Whats yours?

My best experience was getting to share another opening day with my 90 yearold dad. He still insists on climbing a ladder stand to hunt.

My worst experience is losing our most deer lease and cabin to a bunch of Texans who priced it out from under us and are trying to get some more of their buddies to lease up all the rest we have left.
Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.
