I agree with GB. It appears we have hit that historic tipping point. Soon to follow:
1) A variation of the nanny state that killed England as an economic power.
2) US companies bragging that we make the best components (as opposed to the best products)
3) A worse variation on 1970's stagflation: now it will be a situation of the markets continuing to decline while inflation increases.
4) Scarcer employment opportunities
5) A general increase in crime
6) Increasing reluctance of other countries to invest in America, except in real estate
7) Poor health care for the aged
Euthanasia expanding beyond the unborn to the elderly
9) Strongest gun controls will happen after 1 thru 6 are implemented.
10) An extended recession because of government meddling.
11) A weakening of America's defenses
12) Increased terrorist attacks within America's borders, and expanding beyond the big cities
About the only thing we can do is call and write our representatives to insist on limiting the expansion of government.
