Author Topic: One Million Posts - When will it happen? (Read 2723 times)

Some time in the next 24 hours someone will make a post and it will become number one million 1,000,000.

We talked about this awhile back and several folks made their prediction of when it would happen. I dunno when that thread was begun or where really. It would be interesting if we could find it and see who came the closest to the correct date/time.

When will it happen? Dunno we're only 459 shy of it as I type this. Yesterday we did over 700 so my current best guess is it will happen tomorrow morning between 6:00 and 9:00 AM CST. Any other guesses?

If you happen to notice when it rolls over to one million please post the when on this thread. It's been a long time coming but it's here and tomorrow we'll all see it change from 999xxx to 1,000,xxx during the day. It's quite a big event I think to become a site with a million posts.

Had we not deleted classified posts when items sold for so long we'd have been there a year or two back.

My guess is between 10:00 and 11:00 AM tomorrow.

It would great if we could keep a good eye on it so we knew who made the post. Dale

I would guess 11:59 tonite. There will be more activity tonite than there has ever been in one night im guessin. I'm trying to hold out as long as I can before I turn on the boob toob because every station is going to be cluttered with the face that America can't get enough of. (I think I just threw up in my mouth)

We'll see the million before morning. Some weirdo will stay up and wait on it to get close then post like mad till they get to a million.

Well they say today is a historical day. I would much rather remember it for being the day when GBO got to 1,000,000 posts. Than for that other issue.

Only 131 to go but it's already 11:35 PM CST. I don't see it happening today but it will happen over night while I'm sleeping almost for certain. When I wake up and log on in the morning it will have rolled over a milion. I hope whoever makes it can recognize and less us know cuz I'll likely sleep thru it. Now Matt might be up watching.

the message# for the post number 1,000,000 should be msg1098729647 the bad thing is that without the topic ID I dont know how to find the post. This is based on the fact we are 103 posts away of the time of this post and the current msg# is msg1098729544.
