Hi Atllaw.  I just found this Forum the other day when I started looking up scopes and stuff.  I just picked up a Savage 110 in 7'o8 and have been gettin it together for a range visit one of these days.  Also picked up reloading stuff for it along the way too.

I loaded back in the later 70's and early 80's.....I'm Back    ;D    Still have my old  c&H Press, Bear powder hopper and all the goodies.  Heck, time slipped by so quickly my old Speer Loading Manual #10 doesn't even have the 7 '08...LOL     But I've picked u a lot of starting loads along the way last few months.   AND  I ain't forgot how to be CAREFUL... ;)

Started looking for reasonably priced scopes and thought the Sightron S1 may fill the bill.  I read mostly pretty good stuff about them with the occasional "it aint clear enough".  However some say they rival their higher end scopes.    I hate it when that happens.   :)  Guess it may be luck of the draw.

So.... that brings me here to check it out..

Hi Skunk.   Yeh, I read where one poster said it hurt his fingers bad...but I also read on Sightron site that for 2008, they redesigned the turret knobs for easier functioning...do you know about this improvement?

I've seen pics on the internet of what i presume to be earlier model S1's with the short knobs....and now on Sightron website they have taller more knurled type knobs.

Still tryin to decide.
