on the double action revolver thread i asked, should i get a rossi or comanche. well i went today and got a rossi 971, 357 magnum. the comanche's hammer was rough, if you cocked it put your finger in front as not to dry fire then pulled the trigger at times the hammer would be so rough as not to fall. i got the rossi for $285.00 otd new. it was smooth as silk in single action, and double action was smooth but harder. i checked it double it pulls 12 lbs. also the fit and finish was better on the rossi, and the shop owner recommended the rossi. he said on returns for repair at his shop rossi's, taurus, and charter arms have less returns than smith, and ruger. he admited that they may be a little rough on fit and finnish, and may not be as smooth ( i'll put my rossi up against anything in single action) but for toughness they are hard to beat. i would like to know other's exsperiences with rossi revolver's, 971 or other models. i really love mine.
