Nearly all the good prairie dog shooting places are a long ways from anywhere.
Seems like the drive to and from the prairie dog places are always a full long day away -- sometimes two.

So, is the only really practical way to shoot prairie dogs is to fly to your destination in a private plane ?
Fly the plane to Malta, Montana. Someone would have left a full day or two earlier driving the 3/4 ton truck full of guns and ammo. She'd be waiting at the airport with the guns and ammo. Then head immediately to the prairie dog towns, get in a full day of shooting, maybe a second full day. Then fly back to work while she'd drive leisurely back home with the guns and empty cartridge cases. Would get in 50% more shooting than if taken the time for the shooter to drive. The guns will always be clean when the shooter got home from work and the brass reloaded for the next prairie dog excursion.
Can one be an avid prairie dog shooter without a plane ?
