I was wondering if I should use a wad under my Maxi-Ball? Would this be any help to me ? I was also wondering what would be a good ELK load ? I'am shooting 80gr of tripple 7 powder and a 370gr maxi-ball. Thanks Guys

sounds good to me. You'll have to shoot first. if the groups are not good, add the wad and you may be surprised.

used to shoot the 370 grain maxi in a encore with 100 grains pryodex with a wad. tightened up the group enough to make it worthwile, best I can remember. haven't used them in years. Good luck!
