Good morning Montanan, Dpe, Torpedoman, forster, pab1, good morning lurkers!  It's a chilly -7 here in Cut Bank this morning.  It snowed most of the night but it didn't amount to much, maybe 1 1/2. Just enough to cover the dirty snow.

Did you guys know that McGown rifle barrel moved to Kalsipell? They are also have American Gun company making a M-1885 High wall.   I have looked at their website several times and didn't notice they had moved from IL to MT.

Yep, I've only heard good things about McGowan Barrels Ltd. The barrels are accurate and service is excellent.   I ordered a stainless in 6.5x55 and it was an excellent shooter.  When my brother heard about it he drove up to Kalispell (from Thompson Falls) and picked up a .270 barrel.  He brought his barrel and a Savage rifle back to Arkansas for Christmas and I swapped the barrels for him.  He has't shot it yet but it was nice looking.   I gave it about 50 strokes with J&B bore paste just like I did my 6.5.
