"Again this may be hard for you to understand"  Well no, it isn't. And no, I understand that custom barrels are different & yes I have owned those along with factory. I have no 1 or 2 methods of obtaining velocities, but barrel length does matter. I was curious because I like to see load info on some of the cartridges that I like & I am sure others do as well.

No need to look down your nose & pretend to be the intellectual here. Many of us on GBO are aware of ALL the variables that you have mentioned & ALL variables matter when it comes to loads in accuracy
& velocity. When someone gets on this forum & talks about the velocity they are getting, esp. if it is a
good deal higher than normal, it is reasonable to expect someone to ask about the LOAD or the RIFLE or both.

I find it most curious that you don't want to talk about some variables, but not others.

Believe me, I would not have asked if I knew it bothered you, so let's do this. I want to keep this thread open because some good comments have been made here other than your posts & mine.

Let's drop our discussion right now, period.

With my 270 I have a Blistic Plex Burris scope and I can shoot acturely to 600 yds. using that
