New bullet in town.
« on: January 24, 2009, 02:53:08 PM »
I went to the range this afternoon with my 50cal Knight Disc Elite. It was very cold so i had 110grns of BH209 already weighed out in Lanes powder tubes. I just have a cheap Simmons scope on this gun because i just dont use it much. I also stuck the non full plastic jacket breech plug in.

I really was anxious to shoot the lehigh bullets today. They are .452 bullets at 248grn. They look awesome and shoot really well to boot. I think this bullet is going to be awesome on game. I cant wait to try it on some Deer this 2009 Hunting season. The group below was shot at 100yds, using a short black mmp sabot and 110grns of BH209.

grouse: You said it was 10 degrees for your range session. I have read mixed reviews about BH209. It is good to hear that it is working. You had no hang fires?

Well they appear to be right in line cost-wise with the Barnes MZ line of bullets
I may have to give them a whirl myself.
