Does anyone know if you can replace a Savage Model #11FL's trigger with an "accu-trigger" setup?

I haven't seen an accu trigger diagram but have seen it written in the gunrags that the receivers are machined different.  Stands to reason, they wouldn't want everyone to just buy a new trigger.  They want ever body to buy a new RIFLE!!..  I would bet if it's possible, there'll be any aftermarket variation for retro fit, perhaps even a version for other rifles.

AccuTriggers are not retrofittable to older Savage actioins. It is possible to have an old reciever milled to accept the AccuTrigger, but then you would have to be able to purchase an Accutrigger from Savage, which is not possible right now. Maybe in the future Savage will offer an upgrade option or start selling the trigger.
Aside from the AccuTrigger, the old Savages have many aftermarket triggers available. I've not used an AccuTrigger, but I'd be my bottom dollar that the aftermarket triggers are just as good if not better. I've not heard anyone say whether overtravel and engagement are adjustable on the AccuTrigger, but I know they are on the aftermarket triggers. So, that puts them ahead in my book.

The accutrigger is fully adjustable but it's real advantage is that it pull weight can safely be reduced to low weights.  That's because there's almost no mass to pull the sear out accidentally.  The trigger isn't actually attached to the sear until the little blade is depressed..  It's a reasonably priced way to buy a multi lever match trigger on a reasonably priced rifle that'll shoot rings around most other out of the box production units.  Remchesteruger may be in real trouble...
