Encore Barrel 15 in or 24 in

 I  Have an Encore  ?

What is the Differents Between an  Encore  15 in  Barrel an a 24 in Barrel  other than  M V .

Is the Twist the Same an 1 to 12 on both of them ?

Nine inches! Seriously, you need to provide more info. For instance are you talking same caliber & same manufacturer,etc?

I would think the twist rate would be the same but the 15 inch as I hope you are a wear of is for pistol and not for use on the rifle. I have a 24 inch in 243 and love it and shoots great.

The above poster is correct. If you put a pistol length barell on a stocked firearm (in NY anyway), it is an illegal weapon. (short rifle). I always thought that it would make a dandy little carbine, but apparently, a single shot, break action firearm is considered more dangerous, if you can imagine.

1.  The twist is the same in both barrel lengths.
2.  The prohibition against putting a less than 16 inch rifled barrel on a receiver with a rifle stock is a Federal one and applies in all 50 states.
