No more Gitmo? Death sentence of prison sentence?
« on: January 26, 2009, 03:57:28 AM »
Now that Gitmo is being shut down, what do you think the rational response of the military will be when enemy combatants are in a position to be captured by our forces? Will they be killed on the spot? Taken to countries who will kill them (for us)? Or will they come to the US and be treated like criminals?  If they cannot be interrogated effectively, what use do they have to us? What kinds of detention will they suffer? How long will it be before they are released to kill Americans again?

What do I think? I think the Army manuals will be interpreted aggressively and although waterboarding will not be used, something else will be used that is just as effective, but perhaps more time consuming.

Torture and interrogation are not one and the same. Torture will get someone to say what you want to hear. I would like to believe that this country is above torture. Serve the animal pork ya just feed him filthy pig

I'd rather feed them to the pigs. Tie one of the muslim animals up and throw him into a pen of hungry feral hogs and let the rest watch.
