Putting the Rumor to Rest
« on: January 26, 2009, 07:18:38 AM »
I emailed Genny (at CZ/Dan Wesson) today.  She told me that they are still supplying Dan Wesson barrels etc.  Even the .41 Mag, which is great news.

I also asked her about the rumor that CZ is either selling or abandoning Dan Wesson.

She emailed me back...here is her response:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Not to my knowledge.  The only thing different is that we are not making the
Dan Wesson revolvers at this time.  I hope there is no truth to that rumor,
as far as I know it's just that, a rumor.  I haven't heard a thing about it.
Thank you.

So hopefully, we can all rest easier now eh?

That still amazes me…I don’t care who you are or how much I care about you, I would never let you kill my son.  I can’t even begin to understand how much He loves us.

Thanks, Cayoot, for this latest info.
I don't like to parse words, but I wonder if Genny was very carefully, literally answering the exact question you asked. With regard to "abandoning Dan Wesson", of course I believe the answer to that has to be "no, it's just a rumor"....because they still are actively building and marketing Dan Wesson 1911 guns, aren't they??? If yes, then of course the answer that CZ has not abandoned Dan Wesson. But in reality, CZ must have abandoned "Dan Wesson revolvers"...because they have not built any in a long, painfully long time.

I wish the h*ll CZ would tell us what it would take to restart revolver production. I must say that as a dealer, I cannot promote ANY CZ product now, because of what CZ did to the revolver line.
Well loved tools & toys:  All Dan Wessons of course:
.22LR, .357 Mag, .44 Mag 6"V SS, .44Mag 6"VH SS, .445 SM 4" SS, .445 SM 8" original IHMSA built gun, .414 SM 4"

Actually it confirmed what I had read and said. CZ has stopped making Dan Wesson revolvers. She said it too. They are merely selling off stock on hand not making more new stuff. When it runs out they will either abandown the mark or start over. I'm betting they don't start over.
