The Second Coming of Bank Bailout
« on: January 29, 2009, 03:13:13 PM »
This may make you sick.

The white house has a plan to pour trillions of dollars into the Wall St. banks.  They want to establish a "bad bank" where the feds will buy up about 4 trillion dollars worth of bad paper.  Let the Wall St. banks crash, the have sopped up too much of our money already.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090130/pl_nm/us_financial_obama

Quote
Sen. Charles Schumer, a New York Democrat, said on Thursday that some experts think creating a "bad bank" to buy toxic assets could require as much as $4 trillion.

In 2006 the federal government took in $2.4 trillion in taxes, or about 18.5% of GDP. In 2003 it was substantially less at about $1.7 trillion, or about 16.5% of GDP. I think the next bubble to burst is the tax bubble.

If they push through their plan unaltered as they say they will at this time. We are in for one hell of a bad time in the future when it comes time to pay the piper.

I said I wopuld give Obama the chance to be what he could be. I would wait and see if he has this Nation first and formost in his mind and heart. It has not been a week and it seems that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and others of the far left control him and he lacks the will and courage to stand up to them.

If it continues this way this Nation is a grave risk as well as our freedoms. What a shame he could do what is right and best for the Nation political parties be damned both sides.

If he did he would win reelection, and settle the issue in a lot of peoples minds about whether a black man could handle it. I think he is just not up to greatness its is his for the taking.

That comes from his lack of experience and real understanding of the world as it really is. So he is guided by the far left, its what he laerned to do in his political carreer, do what the party whats to remain in favor.

Make no mistake if he was to tell everyone to go to you know where and try his best to do what he could and no more we are still going to have a very ruff 2-4 years of bvery hard times. However, all true Americans would see that he is trying and doing all that he could and we would not blame him.

So if he lets the idiots lead him by the nose and this country into disater we will never, never forget. That will assure that no black man would ever be elected in the next 100 years. JMO of course.

IMO the pigment of his Hide has nothing to do with him being capable or willing to do the right thing. The color of his politics is another thing.

The color of ones skin shouldn't have anything to do with being a successful leader of a country.  However, I can't think of a single country on this planet that has a black leader that amounts to a pinch of sh*t.

You are absolutely right about this. These countries are doing poorly at best. Most are near starvation. Many are so overcome with war that it's beyond helping. The color of a mans skin doesn't make a difference but the ideology behind the color and the origin of his youth does.

They may pour all the trillions of dollars they want into Wall St. they wish, and it will do no good. This Depression is coming (or already starting) whether anyone likes it or agrees or not.
This would have happened whether a Republican or Democrat was running things, as they are BOTH the root cause.
Everyone just needs to be liquid, armed, and have a reserve of both food and cash ON HAND. The money may end up being no good, but I had rather use it to light MY fires than they use it to light theirs.

Hold on one second.
All I can say is 45-70 should be very thankful he is on the internet and not face-2-face because we would have a serious problem.  My grandfather who I see as one of the finest peoples to walk this earth was a Democrat.  He was a fair minded person that did not believe that the government should not hand out to people but rather help out people.
45-70, I don’t agree with everything the Democrats do and certainly not with the far left liberals but when you say “worthless human being” we have a problem!

One would have to ask one's self, are we talking about politicians when we speak Democrat or Republican, or are we speaking voters? There is a difference.
There are some I have no use for in both parties that are voters. As politicians go, I put them in the same category as lawyers. Both are the cause of the ruination of this country. Politicians, lawyers, and bankers are all useless confusion, that add nothing valuable to society.

don't  take it personal
my grandfather was  a denocrat
my mother is a democrat because her father was a democrat
ronold reagan was a democrat

the democrats  then have been  replaced by republicans
and the democrats are now communist

i  will admit  to once voting for a democrat endorsed by the NRA
but that was 20 years  ago before i new better

both parties  are bad but the  democrats  need  to be stopped by any means posible

as  a union member  of 12  years  i quit  my union  over  their support of the democrats
you should  not  out  those democrats  in  public  like  i did [my grand dad i dead so i can  out him]

may  be can get your family  not to support  thos sorry democrats
i  know  the few hold outs in my family hate to see  me coming

i  think  my grand father if still  around  would change parties
when drugs are outlawed only out laws will have drugs

Well,
I know many people that are democrat that are fine folks.  I have some things that I can see eye to eye with.  The people I know are not evil, communists, or anything else than Americans that live and love this country.  Again, I don't see things the same as these folks but I have no ill will about any.

When you use the word DEMOCART to describe all liberals its like saying Ni**ers to describe blacks.  I know many that do that but it doesn't make it the right thing to do.

you points  have  much merit

but  when  clinton got  RE-ELCTED  i  could not beleive it

and  now  the  democrats have given us a hidious man like OBAMA

i left  the carpenters union over their suppert of clinton

the republicans  aren't much of a choice either

and  if some one  is a good  person  why to they suppert  this party by belonging to it??

the party  of  welfare socialism abortion, wants us to surrender to the UN  gay rights BIGGER GOVERNMENT gun control
the party of blogobitch  clinton  OBAMA william jefferson davis   ray nagen soros   ACORN  kennedy  schume  pelosi reed

i  don't  mean to attack  anyone personally  and  get  upset  when  my rights are threatened
and  i don't  word things properly
but  i have a very hard  time understanding  why  a decent person belongs  to that hidious party

and  if  we ever  meet face  to  face i  hope you will consider me a freind as  i will

Gentlemen let us look at history, and remember that NOTHING IS NEW UNDER THE SUN. I didn't say that by the way, Solomon did.
In the HISTORY of the United States Presidency ONLY TWICE, has any one party held the Presidency more than 8 years.
The FIRST incident was Roosevelt when he was elected his third term. The SECOND incident was Reagan for eight years followed by Bush the first, for four more years. It seems we are ON SCHEDULE does it not?

This banter of whom the best party is, can easily be summed up by saying that at this time in history, neither party is worth a tinker's damn, and BOTH PARTIES, are as guilty as hell for everything ranging from abortion, to gun control, to the Depression we are either just entering (and I believe we are), or are about to enter.
You could rake the lying off of ANY of the elected, but a choice two or three with a hoe, and have a pile big enough to bury D.C., which by the way is NOT A BAD IDEA. ERRR?
This bickering and posturing among ourselves accomplishes NOTHING, and is precisely what the Dems and Reps WANT. It distracts YOU from THEM.
My horse may, or may not, be faster than yours. My dog may, or may not, be meaner than yours, and my ex-wife certainly IS MORE RUTHLESS than yours. We should all be able to AGREE that we are in one hell of a mess because of Washington and it's collection of Senate and Congressional Fools. If we can agree on THAT, then we have a chance as a country. If we can't, then why don't we just give up, and wait for the end. ;)

Politicians, lawyers, and bankers are all useless confusion, that add nothing valuable to society.

The sad thing is that they make a whole lot more money than folks vital to society; teachers, nurses, and most other professions.

I do not see one worse than the other. McCain, the guy that MANY HERE, RAILED for during the election, and where PERMANENT ENEMIES were made here by some, just interrupted the debate a few days ago, and said lets stop the bickering, HILLARY is OBVIOUSLY ::) qualified to be Secretary of State. Let's vote her in so she can go to work.
This was the man MANY HERE wanted as President. He is a FOOL just like the rest, and is, and always has been, a sold out sob.
I will repeat an old saying with a slight twist. YOU ALWAYS GET, WHAT YOU'VE ALWAYS GOT, IF YOU ALWAYS VOTE, THE WAY YOU'VE ALWAYS VOTED. This is the "crux of the situation". It always has been. BEING PATRIOTIC TO YOUR COUNTRY, IS QUITE DIFFERENT FROM BEING PATRIOTIC TO A PARTY. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. ESPECIALLY WHEN "BOTH PARTIES" ARE CORRUPT.

As DEE said we must put our differences aside and pull together. The next 4 possibly 8 years are going to be tough no matter what. Our elected officials have become so far removed from the people of this country that they will never be a true spokesman for us. Their belief system is far different than the common working man. To these elected officials we are as ignorant as mud and can't fend for ourselves.

Guys/Gals
!
You don't have to worry about bankers, lawyers or politicians once you have a Marxist Govt.
The Govt is the Bank!
The Lawyers are out of a job and in some sort of re education facility with a number of other folks.
The politicians are all of one party so there is no debate.
When you vote, there is one name and one party on the ballot. Makes it simple even for those that have the intelligence of a rock.

I was born into a God Fearing Bible Thumping Rifle Toting family of Democrats to core. Many I believe were very good Christian people. I was a Labor Leader representing 4 States for over 30 years.

My thoughts and beliefs have changed over the years moving more to the right and I consider myself an Independent with strong Republican leaning. My daddy and grandpa are probably rolling over in their graves.

There are many on the far right just as on the far left that really are not in touch with the reality of the world. No one party has the monopoly on the crazies and loons.

No one party is 100% right and painting all with the stroke of a brush does not really get it right either. We as so called Democrats and Republicans as well as Independents need to start giving thought to our common views as Americans FIRST!

To start with we have to recognize that there are many a good Democrat and Republican that has shed his blood in defense of this GREAT NATION and many will give their lives in the times ahead.

I would now and have been proud to climb into any foxhold with any blackman, any Democrat, or anyone that is willing to fight and die for this nation.

It is time for us, RED BLOODED AMERICANS, to put our differences aside and stand up for what is right and the best things for this nation as a whole.

This is not the time in history for PORK  and political payoffs. Only those with true courage will have the will to do the things that are necessary for this Nation and it will be painfull even for those that do it.

It is easy to do whatever is asked if you benefit on a personal level, it takes courage to do the right thing, when you know that it will hurt you.
