Family plans have changed for me, my buddy is jammed at his work, we won't make the shoot this year. Please give my 2 spots to the next folks on the list.

Well fella’s, Iv’e been hit with a bit of bad luck. I spent the whole month (1st-30th)of April in the ICU/ACU wards of our local hospital. While things have certainly improved I can’t see me being in good enough health the make the hunt this year. Heck!!! I was really looking forward to meeting you all and enjoying some trigger time. Things could change but, I don’t want to hold up a slot someone else can use. Sorry about this but it was certainly unforeseen. Please remove gnnr & gnnr grandson from the 2009 hunt list.

Amazing how once again this year folks are dropping like flies. All who were on the stand by list have been able to move up and even now more could add on to the "gonna be there" list if they wanted to.

For now we're still in go mode here and have our reservations made. I've even bought an automotive GPS to hopefully guide me thru the two ugly spots on the route Memphis and OK City.

Yup we always have some drop outs and with the economy such as it is even more so. I wasn't expecting so many of our long time regulars falling out but stuff happens in life and such has for some. That Fuzzy and Kurt aren't gonna make it tho seems a shame. Maybe we'll get to see Mitch again tho. We intentionally stayed off the list to make sure there was room in the 22 for all who wanted to show but it looks like once again we'll not have a full house.

I reckon that leaves more food for me.

Kind of a shame Fuzzy an't gona be there this year , BUT I did find someone else to put up with me for the trip

I'm bringing Faye aka Mrs. GB this year so she can chase down extra food and drinks for me so I don't have to waste time going for thirds and fourths and can concentrate on eating.

the one thing you guys are forgetting is me!!!! i'm young and dum and can put away alot of food.

the way things are looking i would give myself about a 90% chance of being there. i told my LT it was free training , i had to twist a few words and make it sound a bit better but he bought it and thought it was a good idea.

Well I am ready, but have been working out in Colorado and Wyoming for the last month. I am retiring after 34 years with the same company at the end of May. So this shoot will be the first adventure as a "retiree". I have had so much fun the last couple of years hunts that I would not think of missing this one! I have seen so many prarie dogs up here in Wyoming, that I just may come up here later in the year and remove some of them critters. Look forward to seeing everyone next month.

Ok guys, as hard as it is to type these words, I am not going to be able to make it this year.

Since the new move to Owensboro and the family back in Tulsa I have been away from the project planning at work for what I think is too long.

The boss says go on the hunt but I know that I need to be at the plant. We start construction on the 8.5MM plant next week and I am the project manager. In my opnion, going away may not be a good thing!

My two buddies are still planning on going. One is a member her by the name of MOA99 he will be on later to claim his two spots.

I've had two people contact me one via e-mail and one who called and spoke with me on his dime for a long time asking about how to get in on this but I see that neither have added their names to the list. I guess they weren't that serious after all.

Oh well all the more for me to eat if I can keep Mitch and Stimpy busy with something else at feeding time.
