The GBO Chat software has been fixed and should now let everyone log in. I have updated to the newest version of the software so give it a try.

My attempt to go to the link failed.  Though the fault may lie with my unit's filters and permissions.

Prolly so as I clicked it and it took me to the log in screen for the chat. I didn't go beyond that as I don't do chat.

From what I understand it got pretty popular for awhile but problems devleoped and Matt had to shut it down for a long time so it's not really been working in a good long while.

The problem with chat is it's live unlike the forums. Unless someone else is there at the same time as you it's useless. It takes a good while of it working to get enough folks using it to have someone there at the same time as you unless like before someone sets a time and advertises it here in advance so folks can be there at the same time.

It does nothing for me so I never bother with it.

So basically, chat is just like our posts here only in real time, if anyone is on?
I never knew how it worked.

I dated a girl named Chat (short for CHARLOTT) back when I was younger and could keep up with her!  ;)

Just going by the "atmosphere" of some discussions here makes me wonder how peaceful(NOT) the chat room might be. ::)
Not having been there I presume there is an IGNORE feature?

Everytime I have been on chat it was very friendly discussions.  I was asked one time not to come into the Handi-holics discussion room because I don't own a Handi, but other than that everyone seems nice.  Of coarse I have never seen Powderman, TM7, Billy, or MS there.  ;D

Heather, sorry to hear you were asked to leave the Handiholics discussion just because you don't own a Handi Rifle.   Seems a bit unneighborly if you ask me.  Shoot if you was alowed to stick around you may have caught the bug and gone out and got yourself one.  They are fun little rifles.

Why don't we set up a 'steps of the town hall' type meeting for a specified time for anyone who would like to chat live with fellow GBOers?   How bout we set a meeting for Wednesday night @ 9:00?
