I havn't turned to the democrats but I have seen some signs of things I like.
I do like Obama's seeming, at this point, openess.
I do like the fact that he is appointing some Republicans too his cabinet.
I have found some amount of appeal to his honesty.

Wheather or not all or any of this is real is something I reserve judgement on.
Have any of you seen anything else that shows a shift in his thinking.
Now I don't expect him too go off the chart too the right, BUT

Like Bill C., I expect he will do whatever the polls say is good for his numbers. He's wise as a serpent. The loss of our 2nd Amendment Rights is the only thing I really care about anyway.

Why William - I believe you may be correct. I too have seen some shift in his thinking. I think he shifted right into high gear with his appointments of holder for ag and whatzhis name, emanual something or another for that other office, not to mention his full intent to establish a permanent awb, his proposed establishment of a $800 billon fund for world something or another, to just mention a few.

And while you may not be turning dumbocraptic I fear there is something amiss as I have detected some 'librulizin' inna yu thought process. It seems you are concerned about open carry in that you worry about what the libs and the weak will say. And, you have not mentioned much of anything about those states proposing legislation that would limit federal government intrusion into state authority or Vermonts desire to seceed from the Union, and here ya are from Texas by Gawd, and you just got yourself a nib colt made 38 Super that you have to refine.

Ah William, I do fear there is something amiss. Now Texas, by gawd, has a lot of cattle, doesn't it? That means a lot of cattle schmidt, doesn't it? You know, after years and years of that stuff building up, it can dry up and become airborne and you can breathe that stuff in and become 'cattle-brained', or 'cattled' possibly, either of which requires immediate assistance. Have you seen your Veterinarian lately?

Mostly in what he campained on.
That being to name a few-
I don't recall names so please forgive me for not stating them.

"There will be no lobbyist in my cabinet"-and he appoints one.
"There will be a tax break of $3000.00 to small businesses for every new employee he hires to a new job"-no longer offered.
"We must all stand behind our military in this troubled world in which we must live"-THEN HE SNUBS THEM BY NOT ATTENDING The Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball.
He talks about transparency in government but the only thing transparent is his words and actions.
Why the American public couldn't see through him is beyond me.

I will not go on as I stated "THIS IS NOT INTENDED TO START AN ARGUMENT".

These are just my views on him so far.

The reason he wants Judd Gregg is so the Democrat governor of NH can appoint someone who will not side with the Republicans. Therefore the Republicans can't filibuster and Obama will control Congress and have 1 party rule.

With all the posters, t-shirts, and daily propaganda I put Obama in the same class with Kim Jong-il and Hugo Chavez.

I also not wanting to start an argument just pointing out that there is still a tax break for small businesses that hires new employees, but it is only $500.00.

I stand corrected!

Might as well be none.
That won't even pay last months electric bill.
Even if it was triple that $1,500.00 it still wouldn't pay my hospital premium for one month.

IMO what Obama is doing right now is trying to get the people on his side. I think he does and says what he thinks we want to hear to make us think he is a good man. I personally don't trust him. I believe he has evil intentions, but that is just my opinion.

Even with this extra tax the boy said they would still need 24 million more NEW smokers to pay for the program this tax is for.

The Senate just bumped the stimulus package up to $920 billion with over 18,000 programs.
You would laugh your %#& off if you saw what some of this money is going for.

Do I trust him? NO, not at this point.

We got where we are because of the Congress. You boys don't read too well. IT IS NOT the President it is the Congress and America keeps sending these slugs back for more. You guys are doing this, as am I.
The Southern boys started this way back when. When they found that they could gain more influence by sending the same ones up there, they gained seniority and power and power and power and they were Democrats.
You still do the same thing.
Let's elect them one time and get some new wheels after that.
I still am not completely optomistic about him but I like the things I presented.

i am with you william. i still dont trust him, and i will watch him like a hawk. many here are partisan and cant or just wont keep an open mind- and it is their right to do that. but...it does the country no good. i am by no means a convert, but i do know that God has a plan and while i may not like the direction the world is headed, i take comfort in the fact that i am in God's hands.
