I have a 452 lyman die in an RCBS machine to size standard 230 gr round noses. The problem is that I cannot raise the stop high enough to keep lube off of the beginning of the ogive. I think that the holes in the die are higher than the rcbs model.
So, I made a sleeve to fit at the top of the adjustment screw 3/16ths long, thus raising the stop by that much. Fixed the problem, easy to do.
I just used a grade 5 nut, drilled the threads out and polished the inside, flattened the top and bottom. Looks great and works like a champ
