winchester 540 powder

I am told that Hodgdon HS7 is the same as Winchester 571. I am also told that Hodgkin HS6 is the same as Winchester 540.  Are these powder data interchangeable for the equal powder? HS7 for 571 and HS6 for 540?

I don't keep such info in my head but yes there is a Hodgdon powder that is equivilent to those two old Winchester powders. Is it those two? I quite honestly don't recall. There are a lot of Hodgdon and Winchester powders that are the same really. Winchester made them actually Primatex a Winchester subsidiary did and Hodgdon and Winchester both marketed them. Now Hodgdon markets both brands as well as others.
