Walmart and K-mart no firearms.
« on: February 06, 2009, 03:47:08 AM »
I was recently in the market for a new shotgun. I called up walmart and k-mart to check stock. They both had the same answer for me. "we dont sell firearms". Is there any 1 else in Ohio that is expirencing these problems or could it just be my area?

K-Mart hasn't sold guns in at least ten to fifteen years not since getting hooked up with Rosie. Wal-mart still sells in a few stores but darn few and none anywhere in my area.

Best thing to happen if the K's & Wal's quit selling firearms. Years ago when I had a FFL I couldn't get a gun wholesale for what big K was selling them for, no Wal's at that time around here. Support your local gun shop!

I live in the Cleveland area.  Best prices I've been getting have been getting stuff shipped to a FFL.  Budsgunshop.com and CDNN have good prices.

I think the brick house you mean, on State Road in Cuyahoga Falls, just North of Graham Road, is "Dicks Gun Room", used to be owned by Dick Selinger, now I think his son runs the shop. Another guy named "Chuck" worked there too. They had just about the nicest display of firearms and shooting equipment around. I used to buy alot of stuff from him in the late 70's, early 80's when I worked for a PD up there. Of course most of it is long since traded away now. I recall he wasn't the least bit shy about charging top dollar for his stuff, but they were fine quality, superior to what you could get in a box store.  I have not been back there in a couple decades.

Both Walmart & Kmart sell guns here in FL.  Not every store has them.

I was in the Logan Wally World about a year ago and they still had a small selection of long guns.

Another guy named "Chuck" worked there too. They had just about the nicest display of firearms and shooting equipment around. Dick's is one of my favorite shops. They are a little on the expensive side but they always will deal with me on cash deals. They also seem to know my name-maybe because I have spent so much there. ::)

Lately I have been going to a little hole in the wall shop called Slugmasters near Warren. They dont deal in used stuff but they have good deals on the new guns. I got my Ruger SP101 from them about a year ago for a hundred bucks less than anyone else was willing to sell for.
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?
