Romanian SVD?
« on: February 06, 2009, 03:49:48 AM »
Southern Ohio Guns is listing the Romanian Dragunov SVD 7.62x54R complete with scope and mount for $700. I'm wondering if they are worth it. My only experience with Romanian guns was a couple of their .22 trainers and they were junk, wouldn't feed from the mag and accuracy was poor. Has anyone had experience with the SVD?
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

The PSL-54C (ROMAK III) is not a Dragunov action...  A lot of sellers call them "Drags" because that gets them more money.  The PSL is a long-stroke Kalashnikov that shoots the 7.62x54R.

The PSL is a great rifle - buy one while you can!!!  Here's my 1980 PSL-54c~>

I got lucky on it as it's nicer than any others I've looked at.  If at all possible - inspect any PSL you buy personally.
Politicians and diapers both require frequent changing for the EXACT same reason…

IF you can get it, go for it.It likes the silver tip soviet special ball ammo best.Mine shot 1 MOA with those. The regular surplus stuff goes all over a human silouette target.Target still receives a very bad day .
