Cutting expenditures for "education" doesn't necessarily mean cutting education. It may be the school may not get the astroturf football field or that the teachers would not retire with double the statewide average pay. There is no need in kidding ourselves, in many schools there are plenty of places where savings can be had without much if any, pain. My home school district is very wasteful..and still ready to take up any chance to soak the taxpayers even more.
Here in the SRNY (Socialist Republic of New York).. the teachers get a very lucrative retirement for the most part of $80,000 or better, the statewide average pay is something like $41,000. The crooked politicians, who owe thair jopbs to the teachers & other unions..have agree that if the teacher's retirement fund came up a bit short and couldn't pay the full $80,000 or better...why, we the taxzpayers would make up the difference. If my retirement fund comes up short..that's just TS..but I have to make good the teacher's retirement out of my reduced funds.. No crocadile tears here..
Cabin 4;
You are just the kind of man the prez should have in his cabinet and stimulus advisory committee ..but he'd never call you, you make too much sense!
Chances are you would be ineligible to serve at a cabinet level ...you have proibably paid your taxes..
