End of the Contender?

I only heard this yesterday from a bloke at Sportsmans. Is it trye that now that S+W bought TC they are dropping the Contender? He also said they will be going to all Stainless for the Encore.
This old news?

That S&W bought TC is indeed very old news. The rest well that sounds like more outhouse gossip to me. I've not heard those rumors before. Probably someone just now finding out TC stopped making the original contender a whole buncha years ago and after an absense of a couple years started back up making the G2 to replace it.
