My brother, dad, and I went to Wilderness Hunting Lodge in Monterey TN in January and had a good time. The dark one is my brothers, it went about 250 lbs. It was shot with a Muzzy 3 blade, 100 grain broadhead. He is having a shoulder mount done. The red (blonde) one is mine and was 225 lbs. I got mine with a smokepole. One shot (obviously), in the boiler room, it went four yards with a HUGE blood trail. My dad went along for the ride and really enjoyed the experience. My dad was actually the one who spotted my pig. I included a couple pictures of my "trophies". The meat is excellent and I look forward to the having the rug on my wall.

Those are probably TN "Sour Mash" hogs. Punch drunk, looking for a fight, liver all puffed up from too many nights in the "tank". You know the type.
Nice Hogs!!

a group of us are thinking of going to the same lodge this fall. Any advice ? When is the best time of year ? Did they say the average lenght shots for pistol and rifle ? Do you hunt in a stand ?
