No, not really...this stimulus plan does not beat, or is not better than throwing our money away in the Middle East....it's all bad...and trying to make something bad look good by comparing it to something bad that already happened makes no sense to me at all...
I had big issues with Bush because of his massive spending on social projects and Congress (Dem's and Reps) spending our money foolishly, and I now have even more issues with not only continuing the same thing, but expanding it even more. The reason we are going down the tubes is because there will be no change, it's business as usual....and I have not talked to anyone that is a member of the Dem party, the Rep party, or no party who thinks this stimulus package is good...if they READ it. What your seeing right now is all of congress not listening to the majority of people who are flooding their phone lines, your seeing Congress try to please one man, a new president...who is wrong about the method of recovery for our country. Politics as usual...no change, just a whole lot more of what we just had. Massive spending using my money. I hope like heck this does not pass by a vote of two at the last minute...I hope that the American people speak out no matter if your supporting a party or not. I have been leaving messages on the phone to my Representative, and asked her to please read this bill...and suggested she must not have read it if she is for it. I also reminded her that she makes enough money to take the time to read it. Flood their phone lines...At least it's something...and forget about parties and politics and who you voted for...cause they are wrong, this should not be passed, and we do not have to "do something" as they say...we could in fact do nothing and be much better off.
