Blowback in Encore 209x50....

I just recently got my first Encore 209x50. I had always shot an Omega before. How much blowback are you guys getting with the Encore? after 4 shots yesterday, the breech area and breech plug were solid black with fouling, along with the primers. I never had an Omega that done this.
 I realize the breech area on the Encore probably isnt completely sealed like the Omegas, but this seems to be an awful lot of fouling. The standing breech area also gets completely fouled as well. So, is this normal for the Encore, or am I just used to the Omegas sealed breech? The gun shoots great as expected but cleanup is just not as easy as I expexcted with the Encore. Thanks for any opinions guys.

I confess to being unfamiliar with the Encore breech plug specifics, but you may want to check this thread and the O-ring Tx it details for ideas on cleaning (sealing) yours up.

With mine it depends some on the primer. Remington Kleen Bore primers shoot cleaner and more accurately than any I've tried. The Winchester Triple 7 primers gave me horrible blow by. It looked like I had been igniting loose powder in the frame. Try experimenting with different primers and see if that helps.

Seemed mine got worse the older the gun got.  Winchester 777 primers were also worse.  I remember one time I went to shoot the gun and the firing pin was stuck in crud and had to be taken apart and cleaned up.  This is part of the reason the 209x50 fell out of favor with me.

Im using the Winchester 777 primers also, Ill give th remingtons a try and keep in mind the o-ring trick on the link providied by Hammerspur. Thanks guys.

I had a lot of blowblack with the winchester 777 primers. I even checked with T/C and they even sent me a new breech plug. But that didn't help. When I went to blackhorn and CCI primers it seemed to be a lot cleaner.

I use regular Win 209s and I have a little fouling on the breech but nothing like you are describing.

I use Winchester 209 shotgun primers and get very little fouling in the breech.

As they said.  Win. 209 primers keep the Encore clean.

FYI, I checked with Busta as I also have a Encore. This O ring setup won't work in the Encore breechplug unless you drill it out to allow space for the O ring.
