wife beater= tank top for man.
No Dale, it is a common slang term that a sleevless tank top is called a wife beater, it is not you who are being called a wife beater it is the nick name of that type of shirt.
Wifebeater shirts are usually the white sleveless ones. That's usually what you see the "tough" guys wearing in the movies or the videos. Not to be confused with eggbeaters which are the Thongs that ride up on women so much they stick out the top of their pants. LOL.
Same as Capri pants. They stop below the knee.

they were also called peddle pushers , the pants not the thong which are refereed to as moon floss also !
