338 Marlin Attn:Lincoln Omaha, NE
« on: February 10, 2009, 02:37:33 PM »
Saw one on the shelf at Sheels in Lincoln today in an XLR   $699.89  I personally don't like the XLR configeration.  Guess what. No ammo on the shelf to match.
This is the day the Lord has made.  I choose to rejoice and be glad in it.

Doesn't surprise me. If you are back in that Store, see how much 338 Fed. ammo is available

I don't know how much haz mat fee you pay south of my border, here it is at least $15 plus a minium shipping@ handling of $ 11.00.
To buy one or two boxes of ammo becomes ridiculous.

There's no hazmat fee on ammo,  just primers and powder.

 ;D                 Score:      US 1  Canada 0

It is even worse. Those LEE cast bullets sizer kits contain a small bottle of liquid lubricant. This is considered a hazardous material by Canada Post and needs to be shipped by another method, yep, add the haz mat fee for that as well.
