Adding barrels to youth gun...
« on: February 11, 2009, 09:21:22 AM »
I bid on gunbroker for a 20 guage youth pardner single shot. Now I'm wondering if I can send the gun back to NEF and get a 12 guage slug barrel put on? Otherwise I can't keep it. I like the youth model because it's got a recoil pad and is more compact.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

It will depend on the age of the gun. Check the FAQ to date it by sn. You could probably fit a barrel that you could find in the classifieds if you keep checking. if you find a deal on a slug gun you could also switch out the stock, which would be a cheaper route most likely.

Well somebody outbid me so I'm going to leave it at that.  SO I'm going to buy the standard pardner single shot 12 guage shotgun ASAP.  Now can I add a rifled slug barrel to this?

Sure. you can do a 12 or 20ga trackerII or a 20ga ultra or one of the new lightwieght slug barrels with a scope base. My pick would be the 20ga ultra.
