Tumble Lube Cast Bullets in .44 Magnum, Pros/Cons?

Located a discontinued mold for a .430 caliber, 265 grain gas check bullet, designed for tumbling in liquid alox lube.  I've never used this method of lube before and am wondering about the pros/cons.

I use the Lee's liquid Alox for a few diffrent style bullets and don't see a real problem with them , I even do some .22 cal ones and use the Alox to help hold the gas checks in place , kinda like super glue for bullets .

Some of these are being pushed to around 2000 FPS and no leading at all .

  I've tumbled some bullets with LLA that were NOT designed for it. It worked fine , the 30-06 pushed them to 2100+ fps with no leading. I had the sme results with the 7MM bullets. Good accuracy ,high velocity and little work. I t does take quite a while to dry though! I can't lube tonight and shoot them tommorrow. They do seem to pick up a lot of lint and/or dust.

Hey Dan, good to see you over here. I have shot a bunch of 44 and 357 loads with tumble lube, mostly mid to light loads with no problem. I have stored them for long periods and found them to store better upside down, where the powder stays in the case base than down on the bullet base. Over time the powder seems to soak up some of the lube. I have had several misfires in 6-8+ year old lots.

thats the biggest reason i dont like using lla. If you do use it shoot your ammo right away and dont try storing it for long periods of time.
