Converting an extractor barrel to a M/L barrel
« on: February 11, 2009, 06:21:39 PM »
If a muzzeloader breech plug could be fabricated to accept a shortened .243 Win case, the variety of primers available plus a choice of propellants and bullets would allow unlimited tweaking of loads. What is the minimum dimension plug that would work and could an extractor be employed? What barrel blanks in the NEF warehouse would work for this rig. Is there a better cartridge case,as small as possible that could use a large rifle primer? Ken
